US tenor saxophonist leads his nine-piece through imaginative reworkings of Gil Evans, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Weill classics alongside reconstructed versions of '40s rhumbas like 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' and cheeky '60s songs like 'Music to Watch Girls By' and 'Sunny'. The band also features altoist Alex Garnett, trumpeters Henry Lowther, Robbie Robson, and guest singer/pianist Franck Amsallem.
