Former Buckshot Le Fonque vocalist McComb was signed to Columbia by Branford Marsalis, who remains a huge champion of his work. He specialises in the classier end of smooth jazz, his sublime vocals soundling not unlike Stevie Wonder or Donny Hathaway (complete with clever chromatic chord changes).
