Join Nonsuch Singers directed by Elizabeth Burgess, for a concert exploring the rich romantic repertoire of nineteenth-century German and Austrian choral works. Rheinberger's 'Cantus Missae' (Mass in E flat), written for double choir in 1878; Mendelssohn's 'Sechs Sprüche zum Kirchenjahr', six short settings of words from the Psalms and New Testament, are here interspersed with sumptuous motets by Brahms, Bruckner, Reger and Schubert.
With works for organ played by Richard Pearce.
(Wine available at the interval.)
