Gilad Atzmon Orient House Ensemble

Witty, Israeli-born multi-saxist and clarinetist who specialises in a high-octane, Roland Kirk-ish brand of hard bop, with garrulous, on-the-edge improvisatory style. He's here with his explosive, Middle Eastern-themed band, featuring Frank Harrison on piano and melodica, Eddie Hick on drums and deeply grooving bassist Yaron Stavi. First of three nights.
