Fantastic local pub, great food, atmosphere and staff. A pub that really supports local groups and enterprises. They even put on a free Christmas dinner for local pensioners. Child, dog, people friendly!

The Goldsmiths Arms is so supportive of the local community and the hub of many local events.
It is creative in it's use of space and the events that they encourage to use the venue - vintage sales, the food assembly, Penge Pong, entertainment from the local choirs and samba drumming band, as well as the ubiquitous - but high brow quiz nights and open mic events.

Shabby chic with a really lovely ambience. They are dog-friendly and child-friendly. They even have free dog treats and loads of board games for customers to use. It has a really lovely relaxing atmosphere and lots going on.

This is my favourite pub in the area by far. Great music, friendly staff, great atmosphere...

Excellent food, well kept beer, friendly staff and incredibly doggy friendly with free treats and water bowls provided. Right on the high street, but feels a world away with it's big garden area.

Great food. Reasonable prices. Good bands on fri. Very much a locals favourite of which I'm lucky to be one:) Just wish they were open more weekday afternoons...

Just the most amazing place to spend well Earned social time- we can relax with or without our pups on any day or evening - knowing the pups and children are welcome, whether joining in ping pong, open mic nights, quizzes and Board games, we can enjoy lovely food, great wines and beers- with or making new friends... Plus there are added bonuses like the Penge food assembly hosting & support for pop up ventures such as vintage dress purchases .. The goldsmiths has become the jewel in our Penge crown

I had amazing veg food here just this past weekend. I had two starters: the kale dish with hazelnuts and the grilled artichokes, pecorino and mint salad. First of all, as starters they were HUGE. I mean, huge, could be main dish sized. Great flavour for them both, with the kale not too chewy and the toasted hazelnuts playing off it well. The pecorino and artichokes also tasted amazing together! Service was served with a smile.

Lovely local pub. Good beer, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Also put on some great live music evenings, quiz nights and Penge Pong a bi-weekly Ping pong tournament. Wonderful addition to Penge

A great and much welcomed addition to Penge.  Great food, great beer, great garden and great service.  The decor is unique, but that's a good thing.  Also, they are child-friendly.  What more could you ask for?

This is a great pub in Penge which also serves up some wonderful food . Lots of fabulous beers and ales on tap as well as a cleverly thought out, and more importantly, well cooked gastronomic offering. Just what Penge needed to push the local scene on and rivals any pub in neighbouring Crystal Palace or Beckenham. Definitely recommend.
