Legendary South African campaigner, composer and soulful jazz trumpeter/vocalist Masekela's career stretches back to the '50s, but he maintains a fiery attitude within his uplifting music. His trumpet playing still soars high and free while his gruff vocals still embody a call to arms. Support come from gifted Brit School and Guildhall trained vocalist McFarlane. Signed to Giles Peterson's Brownswood Label her influences include Fela Kuti, Chaka Khan and Billie Holiday.
