In the beautiful town of Rothesay, which can be reached by hopping a ferry from the mainland at Wemyss Bay and takes about 35 minutes, is the Isle of Bute Jazz festival. Held in various venues, you'll be able to see the likes of vocalist/pianist Johnson and his soulful jazz and R&B band, and the Scottish blues/jazz singer Kidd, who has a pleasingly gravelly voice and a good feel for standards, in stunning, green surroundings.
