Japonica Voices, a London-based trio of female singers (sopranos Mikiko Ridd and Kei Zushia, and Yoko Harada, alto) who sing Japanese traditional and folk songs and madrigals, folk songs and some popular contemporary pieces. With pianist Noriko Sekiya. The programme includes 'Mugiwaraboushi' ('Straw Hat') by Akira Miyoshi; 'Summertime' by Gershwin; 'Kaeru' ('The Frog') by Katsuhiro Tsubono; 'Tsuki' ('The Moon') by Katsuhiro Tsubono; 'Alice's Theme' by Danny Elfman; 'Come away, death' by John Hind and 'Shimauta' ('Island Song') by Kazushi Miyazawa.
