Jean Toussaint Quartet

Gifted, London-based US tenor saxophonist, whose CV includes stints with Art Blakey's legendary Jazz Messengers, Brit-jazz collective the Jazz Warriors, Wynton Marsalis, Max Roach and McCoy Tyner. His melodic post-bop approach and a reedy tone cuts through and illuminates the most hackneyed blues phrase, while his fine band features inventive piano star Andrew McCormack.
