Jim Moray and The Skulk Ensemble

Having made his name (and changed it – he's actually called Doug Oates) as a young graduate by blending ballady and beats, Moray has veered towards more traditional folk paths with his fifth album, 'Skulk' (though it does feature two modern covers – Fleetwod Mac' and Anais Mitchell's 'If It's True' – alongside your 'Lord Douglas's). He's no longer being made to bear the majority of responsibility for the 'nu-folk' revolution on his narrow shoulders, but that doesn't make him any less worth catching.
