John Turville/John Crawford + Kit Downes/Matt Bourne + Richard Fairhurst/Sam Lea

Second annual pianoathon rounds off here with busy night of one-off duets on a pair of grand pianos. Tonight's line up is bookended by Turville and Crawford's bop-into-modal workous and Fairhurst and Leak's classical-into-ECM flavoured explorations. In the middle it's the exciting propect of the wildly imaginative Bourne mixing it up with the equally creative approach of the Mercury-nominated Downes for a dramatic yet lyrical piano duel.
