Last summer fiddler, folk singer and Bellowhead mainstay John Boden announced that he was going to attempt to record a folk song a day (see www.afolksongaday.com), partly to raise the profile of social singing, and to expose a wider audience to songs he's sung for years in pubs, but never recorded or performed on stage. Here he celebrates the end of the project's first year and the notching up of 365 songs online, with guests including his band The Remnant Kings, who team traditional folk instruments with electric guitar, bullish bass and loud percussion.
