Jon Boden & The Remnant Kings

Back in 2010 fiddler, folk singer and Bellowhead mainstay Jon Boden announced that he was going to attempt to record a folk song a day for a whole year (see www.afolksongaday.com). The aim was to raise the profile of social singing, and expose a wider audience to songs he's sung for years in pubs but never recorded or performed on stage. Expect to hear pickings from some of the 365 results as his band take time out from numerous other musical commitments for a rare live date, teaming traditional folk instruments with electric guitar, bullish bass and loud percussion.
