Towering and charismatic, extravagantly bearded Texan and former main man of Lift To Experience, the Paris-based Pearson peddles a dark and thrillingly intense style of alt.country, which suggests a blend of Johnny Cash and Ian Curtis. He admits to having first performed the songs from his upcoming new solo album, 'Last of the Country Gentlemen' (due out in March 2011) when supporting The Dirty Three at the end of 2009, 'as therapy'.
