Kairos 4tet + Emilia Mårtensson Quartet

Talent-heavy sax led group featuring emerging alto/tenor sax star Adam Waldmann whose warm yet biting tone, attractive rock-edged (but acoustic) melodies and dazzling polyrhythmic grooves sound something akin to Wayne Shorter playing EST tunes. The excellent band features pianist Ivo Neame, bassist Jasper Høiby and drummer Jon Scott and guest vocals from Swedish singer Mårtensson (who also supports with her band). Tonight Kairos launch their superb second album 'Statement of Intent' (Edition Records).
