Kathryn Roberts/Caroline Herring

Singer and south Yorkshire native Roberts was introduced to traditional music as a child and performed in an early duo with fellow Barnsley gal Kate Rusby and then up front with folk-pop concern Equation, with whom she spent almost five solid years in America. She's also worked in a rootsy, acoustic duo with her partner Seth Lakeman. Here she's joined by acclaimed southern US guitarist Herring. who's feted for her mix of traditional sounds with striking observations of modern life and love.
