Gaelic Americana from Carey, who grew up in the Alaskan Bush but took to singing in Welsh after travelling to Cape Breton on a scholarship to study traditional fiddle styles. Plus ace, unassuming folk duo (and winners of the 2012 Isambard Folk Award) who take their stripped-back settings of traditionals slow and steady on debut album 'The Seas are Deep'. Walker's been compared to a young Richard Thompson, Clarke to a young June Tabor. Both seem terribly young and shy – until the songs take hold.
