Jool s Holland And His Rhythm And Blues Orchestra (Wed) Tim Minchin (Thur) Levellers, The Correspondents, Dub Pistols (Fri) Amadou and Mariam, Fatoumata Diawara, Raghu Dixit (Sat) Larmer Tree is maybe the nicest and politest festival on the circuit, catering for families and folk interested in pretty gardens rather than cutting edge rock fans. It also won Family Festival of the Year in 2008, which should give you a decent impression of its quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Acts like Malian blues heroes Amadou and Mariam, Jools' big band and elder crusty statesmen Levellers all provide just the right level of musical abandon for the surroundings.
