Drone Day charts the evolution of drone music from its minimalist beginnings to its sound art and dance music present over eight hours of music. The day will include a special visit from pianist Charlemagne Palestine, cult long-form works by La Monte Young, Eliane Radigue and Jem Finer and rare acoustic rendition of Brian Eno’s 'Music for Airports'.
The night will end with a collaboration between the godfather of drone music, Tony Conrad, and celebrated Irish experimentalist Jennifer Walshe.
