Where previously Anthony Gonzalez's output as M83 has been sponsored by the words 'post rock' and 'shoegaze' – earning comparisons to Mogwai, Cocteau Twins and MBV – new double album 'Hurry Up, We're Dreaming' is a lot bolder, louder, stronger and shinier than expected, packing plenty of electro-rock punch, yet still demonstrating his ever-so-slightly whimsical way with a melody.
