Maqam/The Madeleine Quartet/King's College Big Band

Middle-Eastern musical ensemble Maqam play classic Egyptian music from the early takht songs (traditional orchestral music) of the '20s to the film noir-styles of the '60s – including Mohammed Abd al-Wahhab's operetta, 'Majnun Layla'. Preceeded by a talk from 4-5pm.
