Marathon Collaborative Event

This event celebrates the merger of Trinity College of Music and contemporary dance centre Laban (to form Trinity Laban) in four world premieres focusing on the concept of the Marathon. Trinity Laban composers, choreographers, dancers and Junior Fellows the Wu and Solstice Quartets explore themes including the chemical and physical changes that take place in the human body during the race – the mental state of a human being pushed to the limits of physical endurance, and outer stability vs inner chaos.
