Time Out says

Imagine going to the cinema to watch a film you know nothing about. It turns out to be a masterpiece. It sucks you in, grips you, leaves you trembling and, finally, makes your heart burst with bittersweet joy.

This can be the feeling of listening to one of Max Richter’s albums. The composer regularly works on film scores (animated war movie ‘Waltz with Bashir’, for example), but is also capable of creating expansive cinematic worlds through music, such as 2002’s nostalgic, pan-European journey ‘Memoryhouse’, which Richter will perform with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. In concert, the performance becomes less about what you can see and hear, and more about what you can feel.

If you do want to experience the full force of Richter’s scales, the last 100 tickets are only available to buy from Time Out. Head to www.barbican.org.uk/max-richter-time-out and enter the promotional code 131267, after selecting your seats, to book your place on the journey.
