For this showcase at Meltdown festival, curator James Lavelle has delegated his booking duties to globetrotting DJ and tastemaker Gilles Peterson. Peterston's picks: excellent Zimbabwean vocalist and composer Eska, who delivers a dramatic set of innovative folk-soaked and sometimes Afrobeat-underpinned soul; and pianist and composer Christophe Chassol, who's played keyboards for Phoenix as well as creating several film soundtracks.
