Here, Jonathan Donahue and his alchemical pop troupe from Buffalo tackle their beauteous, darkly thoughtful fourth LP from 1998, 'Deserter's Songs', which includes such faves as 'Goddess on a Hiway' (sic), 'Opus 40' and 'Holes'.
