Michael Garrick Big Band + John Etheridge/Christian Garrick

Veteran British pianist, composer and teacher assembles his sparky 15-piece to perform music by Joe Harriott, Ellington, Strayhorn and more. Support comes from Etheridge – best known for his proggy noodlings with Soft Machine and Pat Metheny – but his nifty acoustic guitar work also played Django's parts alongside the late violin legend Stephane Grappelli for many years. Christian Garrrick plays the Gypsy-jazz fiddler's role in this high energy tribute.
