For Berlin-based Makiko Nishikaze the clavichord has become the latest focal point of her long-running investigation into keyboard instruments, both as composer and performer. Here she plays music by Erik Satie, Alvin Curran, Mamoru Fujieda, Michael Parsons ('Oblique Piece 11' – first performance), Andrea Gabrieli, Peter Ablinger and Makiko Nishikaze (clavière I-VI).
