The last time we caught this Wigan folk singer live, she announced she'd just fallen in love with an accountant. But don't expect spine-tingling ballads about HMRC codes and debt consolidation from new, third album 'Dancing', on which she multiplies her pure, ringing voice into a choir and sings about the ruinous depths of love. A former James Yorkston collaborator, she's adept at sharpening her soft, solitudinous country-folk with inventive live arrangements (performing ‘Feet of Courage’ requires her to wear some very heavy boots).
