National Youth Choirs of Great Britain: Worldsong

To mark the Olympic year, a celebration of world music bringing together all seven NYCGB choirs, plus 600 young voices from children's choirs throughout the UK. The programme features music from Venezuela, Sweden, Latvia, New Zealand, Canada, Bangladesh and many more. With musicians from the South Asian Musicians Youth Orchestra and National Youth Jazz Collective plus a guitar and African drumming ensemble and guest vocalist Louise Clare Marshall. Music includes a Mike Brewer's 'Worldsong'; and new commission from John Tavener, 'Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis''.
