This free improv power trio boasts the collective firepower of drummer Steve Noble, bassist John Edwards and unhinged guitar virtuoso Alex Ward (hence the name N.E.W.). Adding meaty death metalish power chords and thunderous bass undercurrents to the usual intricacies of improvised music making, this trio turn things up to eleven with boundless energy and ideas. The band split into duo and solo parts on two opening sets.
