A clubby fusion octet who mix funky breakbeats with raw improvisation in a way that recalls British jazz of the '60s and '70s. Combining players from London and Leeds, WSR show how the bond between the improv and modern jazz scenes of the north and south is strengthening. TGAOS features prolific Mercury-nominated pianist Kit Downes, multi-reedist James Allsopp and drummer Tim Giles all creating warped sax/drums/electronics soundscapes.
