As this is officially ‘The Year of the UK in Mexico and Mexico in the UK’, let the party continue as the Mexican Philharmonic hits town to play music from the two cultures. South America is represented in works by Arturo Marquez and José Pablo Moncayo, while violinist Tasmin Little flies the Union Jack as soloist in Vaughan Williams’s ‘The Lark Ascending’ and Holst’s ‘Song of the Night’. ¡Viva México!
