Bust out any purple clothing you might have lying around at the bottom of your wardrobe, because all-time pop superstar Prince is coming back to London. His Royal Purpleness has been gigging recently with his new all-female power trio 3rd Eye Girl, but on this ‘Piano & A Microphone’ tour he’s stripping things back further for a solo piano show.
He’s never done it before and we doubt he’ll do it again, so this could be your only chance to watch Prince go all Elton John on ‘Purple Rain’. Whatever’s on the set list, he has over 30 years’ experience of funk theatrics and solid-gold melodies behind him, so if you’re lucky enough to get tickets to one of these London shows, you’re in for a big purple treat. And we don’t mean that Quality Street with the hazelnut in it.
