The ensemble Rarescale plays new works for flutes, guitar and electronics.

Michael Oliva's 'Bereft Adrift' (Kingma system bass flute and electronics); Dan Kessner's Dances (flute/alto flute and guitar); Ian Wilson's 'Die Zwitcher-Maschine' (solo piccolo –world premiere); Alistair MacDonald's 'Quite Still' (guitar and electronics); Sophie Cotton's 'All Her Life' (solo Kingma system Bass flute – world premiere); and Michael Oliva's 'Rain Drive' (Kingma system bass flute, guitar and electronics).

(Running time: one hour. This series provides an opportunity to hear ensemble's director Carla Rees's newly replaced quarter tone bass flute, made by Eva Kingma – her original instruments were destoyed in a house fire caused by the Summer Riots of 2011.)
