The rightly revered singer-songwriter mixes Kinks classics with solo material

If Neil Young gets to be called the ‘Godfather of Grunge’, then Ray Davies has damn well earned the title ‘Begetter of Britpop’. His classic songs for The Kinks turned a whole disillusioned generation back on to the ’60s sound, and are still one of the biggest influences on many a young band. Now Ray's back in London to play a few of them alongside solo material.
