The ringlet-haired singer-songwriter formerly of impossibly influential, '70s heavy rock gods Led Zeppelin – also a literate and highly articulate solo interpreter of the blues and an enthusiastic and wide-ranging collaborator – presents his new band to London audiences for the first time. The septet features players from JuJu, such as Justin Adams and Juldeh Camara, plus African instruments like the ritto, talking drum and kologo alongside the more traditional rock set-up. This is one of only three UK shows this summer, so quite an event.
