Time Out says

To coincide with the relaunch of Fela Kuti's back catalogue, Knitting Factory Records have called up a fantastic line-up to pay tribute to the late Nigerian icon and originator of Afrobeat. There's a nice balance of former colleagues (including drummers Ginger Baker and Tony Allen, legends in their own right) and young artists who've seized and run with his influence second hand – such as The Noisettes' dynamic chanteuse Shingai Shoniwa and Brunel undergrad Afrikan Boy, whose global beats blend perfectly with his south-east London flow. Each will be interpreting Kuti songs backed by Dele Sosimi's jazz-infused Afrobeat Orchestra, plus Koichi Sakai, Rita Ray and Max Reinhardt on the decks. If you're a Kuti fan, there's little excuse to miss this.
