The idea of theatrical pop-soul princess Paloma Faith getting together with a full orchestra actually makes all kinds of sense. It's the perfect excuse for a whole universe of costume changes and imbibing her dramatic pop ballads, such as 'Picking Up the Pieces' and 'Never Tear Us Apart', with even more emotion and note-wringing than usual. Trumpet supremo Guy Barker is the man steering the 42-piece orchestra (perhaps the only suitable match for Faith's huge voice) that will accompany Faith through a selection of her own songs and classic jazz ballads.
