The Klezmatics + Sophie Solomon

The Jewish Music Institute host a great line-up tonight, featuring a rare UK performance from an awesome Grammy Award-winning New York klezmer sextet, whose take on Azhkenazy and Yiddish folk music keeps them at the forefront of modern world music. In support violinist Solomon melds classical influences with world music flavours drawn from the gypsy, tango and klezmer traditions of north Africa, Eastern Europe and Russia.
