A trippy art collective founded in San Francisco in the ’70s, The Residents hide their identities behind massive papier-mâché eyeballs or scary clown masks. Their current ‘Shadowland’ set intersperses songs (a dizzyingly diverse range of prog rock, psychedelia and general creepiness) with videos about birth, rebirth and near-death experiences.
