This is…Circus Fifth Birthday

Back when it was at Soho Revue Bar (now The Box), stylish tranny Jodie Harsh's Circus club night was one of our favourite haunts to get messy at. Every Saturday, it offered up a polysexual mix of beautiful queers, fashionistas and cabaret movers and shakers. all fuelled by an upfront electro-techno-pop dancefloor mix. Now rebranded This is…Circus, after a brief stint at Paramount, Harsh has moved her party to the opulent Café De Paris for more of the same, spiked with debauchery but with a classy West End edge. For its fifth birthday tonight, expect playful house, electro and techno from Harsh and her disco minions Kris Di Angelis, Josh You Are and special (read: slebby) guests, while the neverending list of party hosts including Alexis Knox, Mika Doll, Kingsley and Daniel Lismore are never short of a dull moment. All accompanied by an exhibition from Harsh and photographer Tim Bret-Day celebrating some of the club's favourite twilight characters at Bond (24, Kingly St) from September 28 till October 1.
