'Tristan und Isolde' is cancelled due to Covid-19
Richard Wagner's landmark opera 'Tristan und Isolde' is performed at the Royal Opera House as part of their winter season. Drawing on the Celtic legend about the Cornish knight who falls in love with an Irish princess, the opera is a daring creation which explores the themes of eternal love. Christof Loy's contemporary production, depicted in a dinner party, stars Michael Weinius and Ricarda Merbeth, and is conducted by Semyon Bychkov.
