A striking art deco building from the outside that doesn't let up once you're on the inside either – even the carpet has an art deco fan pattern running through it. This a stunning place to get married in (and many people do), but it's also just a fantastic, Grade II listed building that is used constantly for live music and sporting events, as well as parties.

Really amazing Art Deco venue, mixed with good music....perfection

I've just seen Nick Murphy (aka Chet Faker)'s concert at Troxy and apart from having a great time, I have to say this place is amazing, probably the most beautiful music venue in London. If you don't live east, it's quite a long journey - closest station is Limehouse - but believe me, it's worth it!

The building is very beautiful, and it's been refurbished not long ago. Inside is amazing, painted with beautiful colours, and with plenty of comfortable seats even in the stalls area. Acoustic is also great.

The only downside is that the area doesn't offer much foodwise, there are a few chippy shops around and a couple of Indian restaurants that seemed quite good but were so crowded, so unfortunately we couldn't eat anything! Next time we'll be prepared :)

Thanks to a recent concert I had finally an excuse to visit the Troxy - the only drawback was, that it is a bit of a track to get to, but once you are there it is totally worth it.

It's an amazing building and great concert venue. When you enter you don't know where to start looking or where to stop - I hope I get another chance soon to go back.

Exquisite architecture - inside and out - despite the Troxy's location in a not especially salubrious area! It's once you get in that you really see how beautiful the building is - the art-deco style of the interior is stunning.

Who would of thought there would be a great live music and events space in the heart of Limehouse?! Not this Londoner, that's for sure! Great heritage listed building with amazing internal deco and features. I just love how you can find these amazing spaces in London. I went for a Halloween party recently and didn't know what to expect. But venue was very spacious, clean and with plenty of toilets. For the ladies this is an important feature ;) I'd definitely return to the venue for more gigs there. Another thing to note, bus stop is right outside taking you straight into the heart of London.

Deco was beautiful. Very Gatsby! Very spacious, never felt claustrophobic even at a pop rock gig! Also, random note but the toilets were exceptionally clean which is surprising when there were many drunk, messy people at the gig. They had a woman cleaning regularly which was great.

I went there recently as part of the East London film festival. I never knew about Troxy before but wish that I had been paying more attention. What an awesome venue in east London that should see more stuff there. It's beautiful original art deco inside, and as comfortable as any other cinema I've been in. It was a brilliant night from start to finish. I'd happily go back there, in fact, I want to go back there.
