Uri Caine

New York pianist Caine is best known for his bizarre re-readings of classical material, from Mahler to Schubert to Bach, employing funk, salsa, gospel, drum 'n' bass and klezmer-style arrangements, featuring the likes of Don Byron on clarinet, Mark Feldman on violin and DJ Olive on turntables. This a rare chance to see him play in a very intimate arena, tonight heading an angular contemporary jazz trio.
