Taking the hazy, panoramic desert sound perfected by his father, blues legend Ali Farka Touré (who sadly passed away in 2006), Vieux has reworked it to create a lighter, more modern sound called 'koroboro rock'. It's a winning sound which has underpinned his studio albums and his live displays of axe virtuosity.
