Waltham Forest Council lay on a free festival for the people of E17 and beyond. Former Soft Cell man Marc Almond, performing on Saturday, should be a lot of fun, and he's joined on the bill by 'Fame Academy' graduate and consummate soul man Lemar, the fierce 'X Factor' semi-finalist Misha B (who comes across like a young Grace Jones reared on Destiny's Child), rising west London R&B singer Angel and more – all backed by the new Soul London Orchestra. On Sunday there's an emphasis on Asian music, with artists including bhangra singers Malkit Singh and Juggy D.
