[title]The first-ever South by Southwest (SXSW) London lands in just a few weeks, bringing a massive line-up of music and film along with it.
It’s pretty exciting stuff, given the festival previously launched the careers of superstars like Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Chappell Roan at its Texas event, which has been running for almost 40 years.
For its first London edition (June 2-7), the festival’s music programme will take over various Shoreditch venues including Shoreditch Town Hall, XOYO and Village Underground. Here, you’ll find headline sets from Brit Award-winner Mabel, Alice Glass, formerly of Crystal Castles, and R&B artist NAO. There will also be over 60 gigs from 500 up-and-coming musicians picked by musical partners like The BRIT School, BBC Introducing, Sony Music and Abbey Road – so you can expect to find some seriously hot new talent on the bill.

For those keen to splurge on the full conference ticket, there are 420 talks and panels spanning everything from business to tech, alongside keynotes from actor Idris Elba, comedian Katherine Ryan and footballing legend Cesc Fàbregas. Meanwhile, the film side of the festival will feature 250 screenings, including international premieres, ‘Expanded Reality’ from Beyoncé collaborator Jenn Nkiru, the opening night premiere of 'Stans', Eminem's executive-produced doc on superfans, and debut screenings of highly anticipated TV shows.
