Time Out says

Kentuckian James Jackson Toth plays lo-fi acid-folk, bringing along a band of musicians who have turned Wooden Wand from Toth's solo project into a full band. Their rusty sound – as heard on their latest album 'Blood Oaths of the New Blues' – is rooted in a romanticised Deep South, offering a simple life of tradition, epic landscapes, whiskey-soaked benders and inevitable sore heads.
