Capital first broadcast on the British airwaves in 1973, and for years it was just that: a radio station. However, since 2008, when it hosted the very first Capital Jingle Bell Ball, things have changed.

These days, Capital hosts a summertime and Christmas ball every year. The events are generally held at Wembley Stadium or the O2 arena, and are basically a one-day-long festival contained within a stadium.

Now we’re within days of the 2025 summer instalment. There are some huge names on the line-up, with Benson Boone, Mariah Carey, Tate McRae, and Will Smith headlining the Summertime Ball this Sunday (June 15), so it’s looking like it’ll be a pretty great day.

Here’s everything you need to know about Capital’s Summertime Ball 2025.

When and where is Capital’s Summertime Ball?

The one-day event is at Wembley Stadium and will take place on Sunday, June 15. Doors will open at 1.30pm.

What is the full Capital Summertime Ball lineup and what are the set times?

The show will begin at 3.30pm, and there is only one stage, so you don’t need to factor in running-across-a-field-time in between acts.

The full set-times have not yet been released by Capital, but last year headliners Sabrina Carpenter and RAYE started their performances at 7.50pm and 8.15pm respectively, so it’s likely that this is the sort of time you can expect for Mariah Carey, Benson Boone, and Will Smith.

Capital will release set times on their website on the morning of the event.

We do have the full lineup, though. Here’s everyone you can catch at the ball on Sunday.

  • Mariah Carey
  • Benson Boone
  • KSI
  • Lola Young
  • Busted vs McFly
  • Zara Larsson
  • Dasha
  • Reneé Rapp
  • Jessie J
  • Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff
  • Tate McRae
  • Myles Smith
  • JADE
  • James Hype
  • Remember Monday
  • Rita Ora

Are there any tickets left for Capital’s Summertime Ball?

Unfortunately, no, there are no tickets left. Due to the limited capacity, and amount of artists, this is a show that tends to sell out pretty quickly. Capital does give away tickets every so often on the radio, but they don’t advertise when this will happen so you just need to keep your ears open.

How can I watch Capital’s Summertime Ball from home?

If you weren’t lucky enough to grab or win tickets, you can watch or listen to the show from home. Capital will be broadcasting it live through their Global Player app, their YouTube channel, and, of course, from Capital FM. If you miss it on the day, you can catch up from Sunday June 22 on ITV and STV from 5.30pm.

What time does Capital's Summertime Ball start and finish?

The venue doors open at 1.30pm, with the first act scheduled to take to the stage at around 3.30pm. As we said, there are no set times yet, but it has been confirmed that the concert will end at 9.30pm.

What’s the weather looking like?

By Sunday, the ‘moderate thunderstorm warning’ hovering over London will have passed, luckily for all you ball-goers. The weather will likely be quite grey with spurts of rain here and there, so wear waterproof clothing and bring a jacket for the walk home. As always, check the forecasts as close to the event as possible for the most accurate predictions.
