Erykah Badu is playing Field Day (along with so many more acts)

Field Day just announced it's 2018 line-up and it is sweeeeeet.

After confirming last week that it was officially relocating to Brockwell Park, the long-running London festival is back to being a two-day affair on June 1 and June 2. And boy does it have the talent.

Friday's headliner will be the influential, incomparable queen of soul, Erykah Badu, who was last in town in 2017 playing the Hammersmith Apollo (then DJing an after party where she walked through the crowd to her decks carrying a stick of incense. It was quite the spectacle).   

Joining her on Friday is cavalcade of greatness: long-time Badu associate Madlib, slick R&B star NAO, rhyme babe Loyle Carner, great London DJs like Gilles Peterson plus new-wave jazz stars like Sons of Kemet and Ezra Collective and Mr Jukes, Lee Fields and the Expressions, Jeff Mills and Tony Allen.

Saturday is equally impressive. There's an exclusive UK festival appearance from the spectacular Fever Ray, divine songcraft from Charlotte Gainsbourg, very serious antics from straight-faced bass men Kurupt FM, modern yacht rock soul from Thundercat, plus, there's a headliner still to be announced.
